What is O level/WAEC subject combination (requirement) for Hausa?
The subjects needed to study Hausa in WAEC must contain five (5) credit. This subject combination is also applicable to NECO AND GCE… The O level requirement that is the compulsory WAEC subject combination for Hausa must include:

  2. Hausa
  3. A trade subject

 

What is JAMB UTME subject combination (subject needed) for Hausa?
You should aim for a score of 180 – 200 and above in JAMB UTME to be on a safe side (Just an advice) because anything short of that may deny you of Admission/Post UTME. Of course, if you have a score below 180, you can consider College of Education or Polytechnic… Please note – JAMB is not the only option for admission. What is Direct Entry Special Consideration to study Hausa?
(i) University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID),Bayero University, Kano (BUK) and Usumanu Danfodiyo University (UDUSOK) accept NCE with Hausa major.

(ii) Umar Musa Yar’ Adua University Katsina (UMYU) accepts NCE in Hausa with Upper Credits in addition to O/Level requirement in not more than two sittings.

(iii) Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria accepts (a) Two ‘A’ level/IJMB passes in Hausa and any other relevant subjects. (b) NCE with a minimum of C grade in Hausa. (c) General English/Use of English at NCE satisfies’ O’ level English requiremen

What is WAEC, NECO, GCE Special Consideration (waiver) to study Hausa?
(i)Bayero University, Kano (BUK) requires five O’ Level Credit passes to include English, Hausa plus three other subjects

(ii) Umar Musa Yar’ Adua University Katsina (UMYU) requires five O/Level credit passes in SSCE or its equivalent including English Language, Hausa and at least any other three Arts/Social Science subjects with a credit pass in Mathematics.

(iii) Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria requires Five ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language Hausa and any three Arts or Social Science subjects.

(iv) Kaduna State University, Kaduna (KASU) accepts English, Hausa and any other subjects from Arts or Social Science as UTME subjects.

What is JAMB UTME Special Consideration study Hausa?
(i)Bayero University, Kano (BUK) and Usumanu Danfodiyo University (UDUSOK) accept Hausa plus any other two Arts subjects.

(ii) Sule Lamido University, Kafin Hausa, Jigawa (SLU) accepts Hausa plus any two Arts and/or Social Science subjects.
