What is O level/WAEC subject combination (requirement) for Fisheries?

What is Direct Entry Special Consideration (Waiver) for Fisheries?
(i) Federal University of Technology, Minna accepts OND/NCE with a minimum of Lower Credit plus UTME requirements.

(ii) Federal University of Technology, Minna accepts OND/NCE credit into 200 level while those with HND may be admitted into 300 level.

(iii) University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) accepts ND/NCE/HND and any other similar qualification.

(iv) Michael Okpara University of Agricultural Umudike and Delta State University, Abraka (DELSU) same as in Agriculture.

(v) Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola (MAUTY) requires Chemistry and Biology/Agric. Science/Physics.

(vi) Niger Delta University Yenagoa (NDU) (a) Obtain passes at the Advance Level GCE or HSC in three of the following subjects: Biology, Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Economics or Mathematics; Upper credit (b) ND in Agriculture or Fisheries; (c) Upper or Lower credit HND/ND. In some cases, depending on the candidates CGPA, he may be recommended for admission into the 3rd year.

(vii) University of Benin (UNIBEN) – As in Agric. Economics.

(viii) Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki – As in Landscape Management

(ix) Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai (IBBU) – As in Agriculture

(x) River State University of Science and Technology (RSUST) – As in Animal Science

(xi) Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola (MAUTY) accepts: (a) Two GCE `A’ Level credit passes in Chemistry, Physics and Biology/Agric. Science (b) HND with overall credit in (a) above (c) ND/NCE with credit pass in Biology, Agric. Science or Chemistry

(xii) Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye accepts relevant ‘A’ passes, NCE merit passes in two relevant subjects, ND/Certificate of any of the Professional Examination Bodies in Agriculture, Cooperative Business Management, Finance or other related subjects.

(xiii) Osun State University Osogbo (UNIOSUN) accepts Two ‘A’ level credit passes in chemistry and one from Biology, Agriculture, Physics, Geography and Mathematics.

(xiv) Kebbi State University, Kebbi accepts GCE A’ level/NCE/IJMB or its equivalent in Chemistry and any one of Physics, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science with minimum of score prescribe annually by the University Senate; and O’ level credit passes in Chemistry, Mathematics and English language as core and any two (2) of Physics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Geography, Electrical and Electronics, Technical Drawing. It also accepts ND/HND (at least 2.75 CGPA) in relevant area and O’ level credit passes in Chemistry, Mathematics, and English Language as core and any two (2) of Physics, Biology/Agricultural Science and Geography.

(xv) University of Uyo accepts: (a) National Diploma (ND) (Upper credit), HND (Lower credit) or NCE (credit) in relevant disciplines and JAMB into 200 level. (b) At least two ‘A’ level passes in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Botany, Agricultural Science, Mathematics / Statistics, Geography.

(xvi) Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State requires credit pass in Physics and consideration can be given to candidates with credit pass in Mathematics and pass in Physics.

(xvii) Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria accepts: a) National Diploma (ND) in Fisheries Technology Management with overall Upper Credit or Distinction. b) Higher National Diploma (HND) in Fisheries Technology Management/Science with an overall Upper Credit requirements above applies.

(xvii) University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) may accept HND with lower credit pass in Fisheries, Agriculture or related discipline from NBTE Accredited Institutions.

(xviii) Bowen University, Iwo requires two A’ level passes to include Chemistry and one of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Human Nutrition

What is WAEC, NECO, GCE, Special Consideration (Waiver) for Fisheries?
(i) Delta State University, Abraka (DELSU) accept a pass in English Language.

(ii) Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai (IBBU) and Michael Okpara University of Agricultural Umudike – Same as in Agriculture.

(iii) Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola (MAUTY) requires credit passes in Chemistry, Biology/ Agric. Science and any one from Physics /Geography/ Economics/Fisheries.

(iv) Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, University of Uyo and Niger Delta University Yenagoa (NDU) require five ‘O’ level credit passes in English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology or Agricultural Science

(v) Delta State University, Abraka (DELSU) accepts a pass in English Language with credit pass in Mathematics. (

vi) Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki as in Landscape Technology.

(vii) University of Benin (UNIBEN) as in Agric-Economics.

(viii) University of Port-Harcourt (UNIPORT) accepts any of Physics, Geography and Economics.

(ix) Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye requires five ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Biology or Agricultural Science and any other two subjects.

(xi) River State University of Science and Technology (RSUST) requires credits in English Language and Mathematics.

(xii) Kwara State University, Ilorin (KWASU) requires Five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Chemistry, Biology, Agric. Science, Mathematics and Physics/Geography /Economics.

(xiii) Federal University of Technology, Minna accepts any one of Physics, geography, Economics, Home Economics, Food and nutrition as the fifth subject. At least a pass in Physics is required.

(xiv) Kogi State University Anyigba requires five credit passes at SSCE and/or GCE O/L in English Language, Chemistry, Biology or Agric. Science, Mathematics, Economics or any Social Science subject and a pass in Physics. A Credit in Agricultural Science must be backed up with at least a pass in Biology.

(xv) Bowen University, Iwo requires credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Fisheries/Animal Husbandry, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and one of Physics, Geography, Economics and Food and Nutrition.

What is JAMB UTME Special Consideration (Waiver) for Fisheries?
(i) University of Benin (UNIBEN) – Same as in Agricultural Economics.

(ii) Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Michael Okpara University of Agricultural Umudike and Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai (IBBU) and Usumanu Danfodiyo University (UDUSOK) – As in Agriculture.

(iii) Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki – As in Landscape Management.

(iv) University of Port-Harcourt (UNIPORT) requires Mathematics or Physics as the third  subject
